With a vision to be a globally respected organization and the providers of best quality of fish products, Raj Fish Meal and Oil Company started its business operation long back in the year 1967. The company, crossing several milestones of expansions and upgradation in its overall trade practices, has grown as the pioneer manufacturer and exporter of vast variety of fish meal, refined fish oil derivatives and fish soluble products. Our range comprises of Steam Dried Fish Meal, Saradine Fish Meal, Pink Perch Fish Meal, Centrifuged Fish Oil, and Concentrated Fish Soluble, etc.

A Brief History
Raj Fish Meal and Oil Company was initially named as "Coronet Fish Meal and Oil Co.", Malpe by its owner Late. M. Madhwaraj and was inaugurated on 26-12-1967 by the then Chief Minister of Karnataka, Late S. Nijalingappa. It was renamed as Raj Fish Meal & Oil Co., in 1987 and hence forth, it is operating in the market with the same identity.
At present the company is managed and promoted by Mr. Pramod Madhwaraj, the younger son of Late. M. Madhwaraj, Ex. M.L.A., Udupi Constituency.
Our Location and Its Impact on Our Business
Raj Fish Meal and Oil Company is strategically located at Karnataka, the West Coast of India, which is also very popular for high quality Indian Oil Sardine (Sardinella Longiceps). It is owing to the prime location of our factory that we have developed the capacity to produce 200 tons of fish meal and about 80 tons of fish oil on a daily basis.

Our entire range consists of high protein content and is extremely nutritious. The shelf life of the fish meal is increased by adding antioxidant (Ethoxiquin) in recommended dosage.
Raw Materials
Normally we make use of the low priced fishes having less market value and those which are disliked in taste and flavor, to produce our fish meal and fish oil. By using the low grade fishes we also help in maintaining the civic problems of the fishing industry.

Preparation Process of Fish Meal
The fresh fish is brought to the factory in iced condition. The icing is done depending upon the transporting time. The raw material is taken through the conveyors from the fish tanks through a metal detector to catch the metal items. Then thereafter the sieved fish is transfered to the cookers which makes use of indirect steam for cooking the fish and proceed it to the other stages of production like pressing, drying, sieving, and cooling processes.
Fish Oil
The Press liquor from the stick water tank is fed into the “Super Decanters” to remove the solids from the stick water. The liquid of stick water that is free from solids is fed into the “Super Centrifuges” or “Three Phase Centrifuges” for separation of water and oil from stick water. The oil that is produced is the “centrifuged fish oil” which is stored in Oil storage tanks.

Apart from the equipment testing, our quality controllers closely scrutinize the manufacturing process to ensure flawless manufacturing of products. Besides, they also keep a vigil eye on the packaging and storage facility. They always ensure that our products are carefully packed in special packages and are safely kept in highly sophisticated warehouse, and further, transported to our customer with the help of sophisticated transportation facility.
